Remanment

Let my body bleed dry,

So that the only thing which remains,

Is the capacity to give.

(Corpus)

In my upcoming poetry book, May the Dawns Bring Gold, Remainment stands out due to its concise nature. While many poems are sprawling and intense, Remainment aims to capture a sole guiding principle of mine: The capacity to give [goodness] into the world, when one is capable of doing so. Especially after harm and strife has been done unto the person– to give back is to break the cycle.
